Helping an established multinational break into the competitive green energy market
Gaining commercial traction in the competitive green energy sector is no easy task. This was the challenge facing RS Group’s renewables team as they expanded beyond their industrial roots into the booming offshore wind space.
Despite being a highly respected global brand, many still viewed RS primarily as a product catalogue. For the renewables team—essentially a startup operating within a much larger organisation—the goal was clear: they needed to do more than just introduce themselves to a new audience. They had to reshape how RS’s value was perceived in that space.
Shifting perceptions to maximise engagement
After a collaborative strategy sprint, we set out to position the RS renewables team as trusted, problem-solving partners who truly understand the sector.
Working closely with them, we developed a narrative that resonated with the audience. Our tailored messaging included digital and print materials addressing the key challenges offshore wind operators face and demonstrating how RS could provide effective solutions.
Launched at an industry event, our interactive screens and problem-solving swatchbooks captured interest and sparked meaningful conversations.
By reimagining their role and effectively communicating their unique value, RS is now well on its way to becoming a leader in the green energy supply chain.
From our initial conversation all the way through to project planning, design, and delivery, the whole Luna 9 team was invested in our success. They took the time to really understand our business and goals, resulting in an impactful outcome that received a lot of great feedback.
